When Ravens were asked about PfS on the Road lessons and what they had enjoyed learning about, they had this to say……
Ryan ”The lessons are fun because we get to do new stuff each week. It’s like a PE lesson but with literacy.”
Emily “We haved been learning about teams, where they play. Its fun but we are actually doing proper lessons.”
Chris “I learnt how teams play football. How to do fun activities and learn at the same time. ”
“You can still learn when it’s fun. We learnt how to work altogether.” Amber
Lewis thinks “The lessons are fun, Anna and Helena are brilliant teachers.” (praise indeed!)
Honour “I have learnt more about sports. Anna and Helena make it more interesting for us. Giving us hard but fun worksheets.”
Tyler “In IT, we made powerpoints of football and cricket players. Anna and Helena are great because they teach us.”
Alfie “We have been learning about football. Anna did a fun way to learn maths through sport.”
Daniel “My favourite bit was in IT when we did a factsheet about a town and its club.”
Chloe “I think the lessons are really good because it’s to do with sport. Maths is still good but usually I don’t like maths. It’s sport maths.”
Brod “I like doing stuff about sport becasue it’s fun.”
Chloe H “The lessons are exciting because normally you sit and listen, here you get to take part. I find maths hard but I pay attention more when it’s exciting.”
Molly B “Its exciting because we would never be able to do lessons like this normally. The IT lessons are really fun because you can intereact more with your partner.”
Sophie K “We now know how to work in pairs and do work about football.”
Dougie “I think it’s fun, it’s something different from doing your times tables. Different things like players, cricket, Manchester. I think its good we have this every Tuesday.”
Ellis “I think the lessons are fun, it’s a good way to learn because we can learn through fun.”
Marie “I like it because I am learning a lot about football, I love Tottenham. I liked doing the speech bubbles in ICT”
Molly W “I like working in groups and we can talk a bit more. We learn about my favourite sports.”
Sophie T “It’s fun because we get into groups. I support Chelsea.”
Adam “The lessons are great to do because it’s thinking and brain work.”
Megan “The lessons are really fun because we work in partners and learn how they work with you. It’s great in IT because you can make your own powerpoints.”
Wrens class at Towcester Primary had this to say about what they had been doing during their PfS on the Road lessons and what they had learnt……
“We have been making our own football teams. We had to pick 11 people and had £50.0m. We weren’t allowed to go over it”. Hannah Farniss
Ellie Mae said “Last week we had to build towers out of paper, to stand for 30 seconds without falling over. We learnt you have to have a steady base.”
Joseph said “the card games were easy last week as I won.”
Ronnie said “I had great fun and got some football players for my team. You could get different players and make your own world.”
Lachlan “It is cool, lessons and fun at the same time.”
Josh said “I learnt that making football teams is not as hard when you think about it.”
Olivia “Tuesdays afternoons in our classroom are fun as its a really fun way to learn.”
Sabrina “We are doing posters to create our ideal environment for learning. I like it because we do different types of things. Maths and English are interesting because we learn more about the stuff we don’t already know.”
Christian “The lessons are quite fun because we do lots of cool activities. We wore the cricket clothes. We learnt how it was to wear them and how hard the ball is.”
Joe D “The lessons are good, some people like maths. We learn something new each time.”
Bradley “It has helped me a lot, my writing because we’ve done a lot of this. I have learnt a lot about sport.”
Bryonie “We are learning lots. Its different because we’ve been working in groups, in the ICT suite. ”
Maddy “We have been doing lots of different activities. It’s helped me in english and maths. ”
Liam “I like when Anna teaches us, gives us more information about sport. I like maths, all the lesssons are fun.”
Lani “Its different to our normal lessons. We learn kind of the same stuff but differently.”
Harry “I like sports lessons because I’m a sports person. I like learning about the players.”
Nikita “I enjoy the lessons because we do lots of fun things and I learn about sport.”
Tom “In ICT we had to make an anti-racism poster and stop people saying bad things to players.”
Josh “We do maths well different, well fun. It’s really enjoyable, it helps me understand that maths isn’t all about working in silence, it is fun too.”
Harriet “PfS on the Road is so fun, I look forward to coming to school on Tuesdays. I love learning about sport, its my favourite ever activity”
Corie “In ICT we’ve been doing speech bubbles for players.”
Olivia “Its really cool, a fun way to learn. I am always looking forward to Tuesdays.”
Ellie G “You get to learn about the outside world. We do something thats different to our usual lessons.”
Bradley H “It makes me more confident with sports because the way we learn: team names, capatains, positions.”
Joe C “The ICT is really good because we get to do different things, we have got a bond with our partners.”
